Wedding Gallery Delivery Checklist for Photographers

A practical wedding gallery delivery checklist covering final files, gallery order, privacy, downloads, mobile viewing, branding, sharing and the delivery email.

Wedding Gallery Delivery Checklist for Photographers

A wedding gallery delivery checklist helps photographers catch small mistakes before one of the most anticipated emails of the entire wedding experience reaches the couple.

This is intentionally a checklist rather than another complete wedding-delivery guide. For the full workflow, see How to Deliver Wedding Photos Online After the Big Day.

Final image check

  • All intended wedding photographs are present.
  • No test frames or unfinished files remain.
  • Colour and editing are consistent.
  • Crops and orientation have been checked.
  • No accidental duplicates are present.

Gallery order check

  • The collection follows a sensible visual sequence.
  • Preparations, ceremony and reception sections are in the intended order.
  • No photographs have landed in the wrong section.

Cover image check

  • The opening image is intentional.
  • It represents the wedding well.
  • It works at the gallery cover size.

Couple details check

  • Names are spelt correctly.
  • The wedding or gallery date is correct.
  • No details copied from another couple remain.

Privacy check

  • The gallery access setting matches what was agreed.
  • Any password or restricted access works.
  • The gallery is not accidentally public.

Mobile check

  • Open the gallery on a phone.
  • Browse several sections.
  • Open individual images.
  • Check navigation and important controls.

Download check

  • Downloads work if they are included.
  • The correct files are being supplied.
  • The download process is obvious enough for the couple.

For larger-file considerations, read Best Way to Send High Resolution Photos to Clients.

Sharing check

  • You know whether the couple is expected to share the gallery.
  • The gallery presentation still represents your photography business professionally.
  • Privacy settings make sense for wider sharing.

Branding check

  • Your photographer or studio identity is correct.
  • No temporary branding remains.
  • The gallery looks consistent with the service the couple booked.

Favourites check

If the couple will use favourites for an album, prints or another product, make sure that feature is available and explain what their selections will be used for.

Sales check

If gallery sales are enabled, confirm the options and pricing you intend the couple and guests to see.

Make sure purchasing remains secondary to the main purpose of receiving the finished wedding photographs.

Expiry check

  • Know whether the gallery expires.
  • Know the relevant date.
  • Tell the couple clearly if they need to download before that date.

Delivery email check

  • The couple's names are correct.
  • The gallery link is correct.
  • Downloads are explained if necessary.
  • Any access details are included.
  • The wording clearly says the final gallery is ready.

Open the exact link before sending

Copy the URL from the actual delivery message and open it yourself.

This final test catches incorrect links and ensures you are seeing exactly what the couple will see.

Backup check

Confirm your own wedding archive is protected independently of the client gallery.

The online gallery is the couple's delivery experience, not your only professional copy of the wedding.

Send the gallery

Once every check is complete, send the gallery and let the photography take centre stage.

FolioDen provides client galleries, downloads and favourites for photographers who want these delivery tools in one place.

Guest viewing check

  • Consider whether guests are likely to receive the gallery link.
  • Check that the gallery still makes sense to somebody who was not involved in the original booking.
  • Confirm that anything intended only for the couple is not being exposed accidentally.

Album and print selection check

If the couple will later choose photographs for an album, prints or another product, make sure you know how those selections will be collected.

Using favourites or another clearly defined selection process is easier to manage than asking the couple to send a long list of filenames after delivery.

Final client-experience check

Look at the gallery one last time as a couple rather than as the photographer who built it. The important question is not whether every technical setting exists, but whether the experience feels complete, easy to understand and worthy of the photographs you are delivering.

The couple should be able to open the gallery, enjoy their wedding story, understand how to download or share it where appropriate and know what happens next without needing to contact you for basic instructions.
